Times change, people change and the company operational ways change. We live in a period where we have so many contractors helping us on small assignments and contracts. This is really a game changer in the field of photography, as the art is based on the photographer and not on the company. It is the vision which makes a photograph. Its not just location, tools but the vision of the artist to bring out the best in a photograph.
Which brings us to the most basic question - what to consider while booking a photographer. How adaptable are the guys to the trending change ? If we look at the trend, going back merely a few yrs, it was the time of traditional photography. Then candid photography came, then it was the time for cinematography and then with lifestyle photography and so many other genres. The time and trend and technology behind always changes. Photographer who evolve with trending changes are the future of photography and that is where at the time of booking, one should evaluate the photographer to choose. The past results can always be due to a contractor working with a venture over short time. Maybe the venture cannot offer you that anymore. Over time, we have seen this and have always been questioning ourselves, how is it that we can overcome this challenge. We had few obvious answers
1. Internal employees/ co-workers over contractors.
2. To challenge ourselves to adapt to new things.
3. To move forward with reference to clients on what we can offer along with what we have already achieved.
This helps us set a landmark in the field where we can offer more than what you see in our website or even on any marketing campaigns or on social medias like Facebook. This is predominantly the REASON WHY WE INSIST ON MEETINGS PRIOR TO ANY PRICING DISCUSSION. We wish to be sure that we can meet the clients expectations and can also offer them what exactly it is that we can offer compared to what they might have already known about us. This is really a minor detail which can always bring in a major change in what you may get when you book a photography venture for your Modala Hejje. Let's be wise in our selections :) .
